A significantly revised development proposal has been received from Metroview (Elmwood) Developments Inc. to amend the Official Plan and Zoning By-law for lands at 9929, 9935 and 9939 Yonge Street and 186 and 188 Church Street South to increase the permitted building height to twenty (20) storeys, in order to permit a high density, mixed use residential/commercial building with 263 dwelling units, 206 square metres of commercial floor space.
A Community Meeting is being held by Regional Councillor Perrelli on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 7pm at Elgin Barrow Arena, Ed’s Room on this development proposal. Attend the meeting to learn more, ask questions or provide comments about this proposal.
A Council Public Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 7:30 PM to notify the public and receive comments on the revised Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment that have been appealed to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT).
NO decisions will be made at the February 19th meeting, however the most significant platform to hear the Applicant’s resubmission and have your critical comments heard resides at the Council Public Meeting where all comments become part of the public record and are formally submitted before Council and back to staff for future considerations.
