The long awaited Land Acknowledgement is in front of council for approval. Below is the proposed statement:
“I/we would like to acknowledge that Richmond Hill is situated on lands covered by Treaty 13 and the Williams Treaties. Over several centuries, Richmond Hill has been traversed by many First Nations and is currently home to Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island.”
Council is also asked to approve membership in UNESCO’s Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities. Read declaration here
Ward 1 - Traffic Calming Review in Response to Resident Petition on Olde Bayview Avenue
To seek Council approval to implement traffic calming measures on Olde Bayview Avenue, south of North Lake Road. Read staff report here
Muirhead Crescent and Stouffville Road Watermain and Sanitary Sewer Servicing
Options to provide municipal water and sewer services to the residents of Muirhead Crescent and Stouffville Road including the option to provide the servicing as a local improvement where the residents portion of the costs of the project would be payable upon the sale of the residents property. Public Forum will be by video conference via the internet or telephone only. A maximum of five persons will be allowed to register for the Public Forum on a first come first serve basis.
