Short Term Rental Accommodations

According to The Toronto Star dated June 25, 2020 the court has dismissed the landlords’ bid to appeal short-term rental rules in Toronto.

Will Councillors Chan and West's deferred motion to direct Staff to develop options on Short Term Rental Accommodations come back to Council at the July 8th, 2020 meeting and be approved this time?

On April 8, 2020 a motion was brought forward by Councillors Chan and West to receive the Staff report on Short Term Rental Accommodations and to ask them to develop a full range of options.

The motion was subsequently deferred by Councillors Perrelli and Muench until the first Council Meeting following the conclusion of the legal proceedings arising from the appeal at LPAT of Toronto's By-laws related to Short Term Rentals.
