At the November 18th Richmond Hill Council Public Meeting a development application was presented by staff regarding a proposal to build 26 and 29 storey buildings at Hillcrest Mall.
The purpose of a Council Public Meeting is for staff to receive comments from the public regarding development applications. Provide comments is exactly what 33 residents did when they sent in correspondence regarding this application and the 9 residents who spoke at the meeting. There were many concerns raised.
How did Regional Councillor Carmine Perrelli respond to comments? He mocked! He ridiculed! He made a mockery of the residents, fellow council members, staff and the democratic process.
