Update on Councillor Joe DiPaola’s expenses

A complaint has been submitted to the Office of the Ombudsman regarding Councillor DiPaola’s expenses and is being reviewed. Stay tuned for the response.

City Manager Neil Garbe was asked why the Council expense policy was not being followed and specific examples were given. His response “After looking into the matter I have realized that there is ambiguity in the language and understanding of its meaning and application. There is an opportunity for further review, training and development to ensure adherence to the Council Expense Policy.”
