Request for Endorsement - Affordable Housing Strategy

  • Endorsement of the Strategy will not commit the City to the use of any specific tools at this time, rather, it will provide direction to staff to undertake the work necessary to identify the details associated with each tool, consult with the public and stakeholders, as appropriate, on those details, and seek Council’s approval of the individual tools accordingly.

Member Motion - Councillor Muench - Executive Staff Pay Increases

  • This motion is to remove the delegated authority to increase pay for City staff in positions at the Director level or above from the City Manager and brought to Council for approval instead. Read the motion here.

  • Councillor Muench may be bringing this motion forward however it's really belongs to Councillor Perrelli and his unsubstantiated "survey"

Member Motion - Councillor Muench - Mayor Dave Barrow Return

  • This motion is to immediately rescind Mayor Barrow's Medical Leave of Absence

  • Read full motion here

  • Reasoning is because "Mayor Dave Barrow was recently photographed by Metroland photographer Steve Somerville having breakfast at the 3 Coins Open Kitchen restaurant patio on June 11" and that "Mayor Dave Barrow looked in fine health and was very talkative"

  • Mayor Dave Barrow had sent an email on June 9th to Council, at their request, stating that “The medical treatments I've been receiving have been going well and at this time I'm hopeful that I will be able to return to work at the end of the summer”
