View Agenda Here and Livestream Here

York Regional Staff will be presenting the draft 2051 Forecast and Land Assessment report.

A Place to Grow: Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe (Growth Plan) sets out population and employment forecasts and requires municipalities plan to achieve these forecasts by 2051.

Growth is contemplated only where permitted by Provincial Plans and in locations with existing or planned water-wastewater capacity.

The application of the Provincial Land Needs Assessment concludes that the Region can meet its employment land needs with existing urban lands and a portion of Whitebelt lands.

York Region wants to know about your 15-minute neighbourhood

Complete communities are walkable, well- connected neighbourhoods where you

can access your favourite bakery, coffee shop, restaurant, local park and daily needs within a 15-minute walk from home.

Tell us what places or amenities you would like to walk or cycle to in your neighbourhood.

Your response will help York Region plan for diverse needs in our existing and new communities. Feedback will assist in the development of a complete community assessment tool and may also help to inform the Regional Official Plan Update. Please respond to this survey by March 26.

Under the current circumstances, members of the public are unable to attend in person. However, virtual deputation requests will be accepted by the Regional Clerk's Office until 12 p.m. on March 17, 2021. Registered deputants will be provided with a link and instructions for joining the meeting.
